Mkurugenzi wa vipindi na uzalishaji wa Clouds FM, Ruge Mutahaba amesema wasanii wengi wamekuwa wavivu na wamekosa passion ya kurekodi muziki.
Akiongea na Blog ya Diva255, Mutahaba alisema hiyo ni sababu moja wapo kwanini hawatoi albamu.
“Kisingizio cha artist wa Tanzania kusema the public wanaprefer singles sio kweli. Wasanii wamekuwa wavivu na wamepoteza passion ya muziki,” alisema.
“They don’t record kabisa na wengi wakirekodi wanafanya hivyo kwa ajili ya kutoa single iwasaidie kupata show. Zamani wasanii walikuwa wanarekodi kila wakati so kulikuwa na urahisi wa kutengeneza albums, kipindi hiki pamoja na studio nyingi, producers wengi zaidi bado wasanii hawarekodi,” aliongeza.
“Nahisi kubweteka na hela za show ndo kumewafanya wasiwe na interest ya kufanya albums.”
Kuhusu madhara na faida ya internet kwenye muziki, Ruge amesema:
"The internet is a two sided sword…it has helped the industry sana but has also hurt it. Helped in a way of being able to enable music to be spread faster but hurt in increasing of piracy, more competition and also the increase of choices for listeners. The more choices they have, the higher the expectation for the artists who mostly don’t understand on the raised benchmark.”
