imageVitali Klitschko, having beaten Thomasz Adamek, says he now wants to fight and knock out David Haye.

The WBC champion, who stopped Adamek in the tenth round in Wroclaw, Poland, is eager to get the brash Briton into the ring to settle a score.

The 40-year-old Klitschko out-classed Adamek, a former cruiserweight and light-heavyweight champion, and said after the bout, "Haye is the best; at trash talking. I want to fight him because he has insulted me deeply. I want to knock him out."

Haye lost his WBA title to Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg in July with, but after his constant trash-talking, Vitali has set his sights on the Briton.

The Klitschko brothers were insulted when Haye appeared at a media conference in 2009 wearing a T-shirt showing an image of him in the ring brandishing the severed heads of the Ukrainian brothers.

Last week, Haye said he would delay plans to retire in October if either of the Klitschko brothers would fight him. Now Vitali has responded by saying he wants the fight to go ahead.

Haye has told a German newspaper he wants another chance to win a heavyweight title. "If I am given a rematch against Wladimir, which I do not believe I will, or if Vitali will fight me, I will postpone my retirement for six months," said Haye, who turns 31 next month.

"Vitali should give me the chance, if he dares. He is supposed to have a dangerous punch, which I doubt."

Klitschko had few problems against Adamek, but said after the bout it was a mistake for the challenger to step up and fight in the heavyweight division.
